Another Story of Pet Preservation
|
" Perruris " that is the name that my parent's gave their precious little 4 week old Pomeranian, when our golden
retriever brought him in his mouth on a rainy day. We asked the SPCA, around the neighborhood, put an add
in the paper for weeks, and nobody ever claimed him so we kept him. With his hairs sticking up and big brown
eyes, he looked like a porcupine he was really cute and so so tiny. Time passed and he got a little bigger but he
was still very tiny, he was automatically potty trained "such a good boy!" my parents treated him like a baby.
We took him on family trips once he went to Mexico (Manzanillo) he somehow got loose in traffic and oh
boy!, can you imagine us chasing a dog in all kinds of traffic? Now that's a memory we'll never forget.
This dog was with our parents through alot of times both good and bad,our grandmother passed away he used
to guard her and make sure she was always alright she was prone to falling so he was always right behind her
as if he could hold on to her as little as he was! Both my sister and I moved out of the house and this little guy
was left as a child to our parents. He was very spoiled had gourmet food, sweaters, beds, toys like I said he
was like a child when my parents ate he ate with them, they took him to the park everyday rain or shine
whether they were sick or not.
He was very, very cute all black and fluffy with the biggest dark brown eyes everyone wanted to pet him
but....he wouldn't let anybody touch him but mom or dad. Tiny as he was he was the "Boss" we had a Chow
Chow and two other big dogs that obeyed him just with his bark. He had several health problems an enlarged
heart, kidney problems, his little body could not take it anymore all the medication just like a real person on
March 3rd 2004 he passed away. My parents Jesus and Socorro were devastated and are still grieving they
talk about their puppy and how everywhere they go it's a memory for them since this dog went with them every
single place.
This Monday April 26th 2004 I received him in a box, I called my parents and let them know their doggy was
home they rushed over to pick him up. When we opened the box at first it was scary since it was him just as he
was alive then my mom started to cry and my dad was silent. I saw it in their eyes it was a relief to have him
home, they were always asking me when he would get home. He is truly beautiful and thanks to this very nice
man that called me back, didn't matter the time which I had called at nightime desperate looking for somebody
who did taxidermy but nobody did pets and nobody did anything in California. He explained the whole process
and the shipment method, I had promised my parents I would find somebody I am so grateful he called me
back. I had told my parents what he had told me in our conversation which right away I felt this person really
did care, right away they were ready to turn their baby over to him.
THANK YOU SO MUCH PET PRESERVATIONS!!
Sincerely,
Cristina and Parents
